Kayak instructor Brian Schulz built this beautiful tiny house in the woods from salvaged and reclaimed wood for about $11,ooo. It took about a year to build and has a loft, wood stove, and beautiful wooden staircase. It measures 11′ x 16′ and was inspired by Japanese architecture.
This is what living off the grid is about. Simple and easily sustainable, homes like this are becoming ever more popular in the green movement. Sustainable living is growing, expanding, and becoming more mainstream. I predict we’ll be seeing lots more homes like this as people downsize their debt and spend more time with family. Living small is, in reality, living BIG!
